File&Form is a magazine for people who like finding good things.

A well-designed chair. A small restaurant that has been open for years. The right place for a morning coffee. A good book. A beautiful city. A forgotten craft. Or simply an idea that makes life a little more enjoyable. These are usually the things that catch our attention.

You won’t find any fixed rules for living well here. We’re not especially interested in telling you what you should do, either. We’d rather look at the people, places and objects that make life more interesting — and try to understand why.

One day, you might read about someone in Rome who has been going to the same shop for years. The next, about why design feels like such a natural part of everyday life in Copenhagen. Then perhaps why a good dinner is about more than what is on the plate, or why some old objects have more character than new ones ever could.

File&Form is for curious people.

Like a good magazine, a good restaurant or a long dinner, there’s no need to rush. Look around, stay awhile where something catches your attention and perhaps come across something you hadn’t thought about before.

The rest usually takes care of itself.
